HOLLYWOOD, CA (January 30, 2008) - The Hollywood Black Film Festival (HBFF) confirms that Alizé as the Title Spirit sponsor for the HBFF's 2nd Annual Film Finance and Distribution Summit's Red Carpet Cinema Lounge and Alizé Post-Party scheduled to take place this Frday and Saturday, respectively in Santa Monica, CA.
The Red Carpet Cinema Lounge, taking place on Friday is part of the festival's year-round networking and screening program which gives filmmakers a venue, an audience and most importantly feedback on their short films. Film short screenings include a supernatural thriller-Hysteria, written and directed by Gerald G. Haynes , a laugh-out-loud comedy, written and directed by Casper Frank called Business Johnson and a unique relationship comedy called Kujo, My Love written and directed by Stacy Pyles. In addition, Yolanda Johnson debuts her music video Get 2 Know U. This special event will be held at Zanzibar, located at 1301 5th St, Santa Monica, CA. Celebrity arrivals/Red carpet coverage from 7-9p.m.; Cinema Lounge Short Film screenings from 9-10p.m. with an after-party immediately following featuring a special performance by Lina.
Confirmed celebrities include: Omarosa (Celebrity Apprentice), James Lesure (Las Vegas), Wendy R. Robinson (The Game), Wesley Jonathon (Roll Bounce), Luenelle (Borat), Vincent M. Ward (Everybody Hates Chris, The Wire), Ernest Thomas (Everybody Hates Chris, What's Happening!), Willie Macc (College Hill) and Kalilah Allen-Harris, Miss Black USA 2007. Summit participants, celebrities and guests will sample a variety of Alizé specialty cocktails including: Gold Passion, Red Passion, Wild Passion, as well as Rose and Bleu flavors.
The Alizé Post-Party will be held this Saturday at Bergamont Station Arts Center located at 2525 Michigan Avenue, Building I, Santa Monica, CA from 6 p.m. - Midnight. Summit attendees, celebrities and guests will mingle and network with fellow filmmakers and summit speakers while sampling an array of Alizé flavors. Fine art displays by Artists Cosandra Calloway and Brian Smith will be available for guests to view. Guests will also enjoy fine appetizers by Mmm Mmm Catering and the musical atmosphere set by the Tagg Team DJs.
